Description

Lost Vape Centaurus M200 Mod

The Lost Vape Centaurus M200 is a dual-18650 regulated box mod running up to 200W, built from aircraft-grade aluminium alloy and stainless steel. It uses Lost Vape’s Quest 2.0 chipset and replaces traditional adjustment buttons with a 3-in-1 jog dial: a 360-degree rotational wheel that also serves as the fire button and contains a colour-coded LED battery indicator ring. A sliding on/off switch allows instant power-up without the usual five-click sequence.

The M200 has been one of the most popular dual-battery mods in the UK since its launch and is available in a range of core colours and limited edition finishes, all using interchangeable magnetic side panels. At 150g without batteries, it is lighter than most dual-18650 mods of this power output. This page covers the standalone mod. The Centaurus M200 Kit (including the Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank and UB Max coils) is a separate product.

200W Output and Quest 2.0 Chipset

The Centaurus M200 runs from 5W to 200W using Lost Vape’s Quest 2.0 chipset. The voltage output range of 0.7-10V means the chipset includes buck-boost circuitry, allowing the mod to exceed the voltage of a single-cell pair and fire reliably across a wide range of coil resistances, from 0.1 to 5.0 ohms. Wattage adjusts in increments via the rotary jog dial. The chipset supports temperature control for Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel wire, with a temperature range of 100-315°C. The M200’s version of the Quest 2.0 has a 10V output ceiling, which is higher than the version found in earlier Lost Vape devices such as the Thelema and Ursa.

Dual 18650 Battery and Runtime

The Centaurus M200 takes two 18650 batteries, which are not included in the box. The battery compartment is accessed via a hinged magnetic door on the base of the mod. For everyday use at 50-80W with a sub-ohm tank and quality high-drain cells such as the Sony VTC5A or Molicel P26A, a pair of 18650s will comfortably cover a full day of vaping before needing a charge or swap. In-mod charging is available via the USB-C port at up to 2A, though most experienced vapers and Lost Vape themselves recommend using an external charger for battery health and longevity. The LED ring on the jog dial changes colour through five levels: purple (80-100%), green (60-80%), blue (40-60%), white (20-40%), and red (0-20%).

3-in-1 Jog Dial Interface

The M200 combines three functions into a single control on the front face of the mod. The outer ring rotates to adjust wattage, the centre fires the device, and the LED ring indicates battery level. This design allows full control with one hand and without pressing multiple buttons simultaneously. For vapers coming from a traditional three-button mod, the jog dial takes a short period of adjustment, but most find it faster to use once familiar. Three quick clicks of the fire button locks the wattage setting. Five clicks switches between Normal mode and DIY mode.

Sliding On/Off Switch

A physical sliding switch below the screen turns the Centaurus M200 on and off in a single movement. This is a standout feature for a dual-battery mod. On most regulated mods, powering up requires five rapid clicks of the fire button. The slider removes this step entirely and also provides a reliable mechanical safety cut-off when carrying the mod in a bag or pocket. The switch has a 1-second boot time from off to ready-to-fire. It sits flush with the body in both positions and is well-positioned for thumb operation.

0.96-Inch OLED Screen

The OLED screen on the Centaurus M200 runs at 80×160 pixels and displays wattage, coil resistance, battery percentage, puff count, and the duration of the last puff. The screen is bright and legible under most lighting conditions. It shows all key information on a single screen without requiring menu navigation for standard use. The mode indicator (Normal or DIY) is also displayed at all times, so you always know which mode is active. Three clicks of the fire button locks the screen and prevents accidental wattage changes.

Normal Mode and DIY Mode

The M200 has two operating modes, switched with five quick clicks of the fire button. Normal mode is standard Variable Wattage for everyday use with sub-ohm tanks and pre-built coils. DIY mode is designed for rebuildables and adds a live voltage readout on the screen while firing, which lets you monitor exactly how the mod is behaving with your build. In both modes, wattage is set and maintained the same way. The difference is purely in the information displayed and the audience each mode is designed for. Temperature control for Ni/Ti/SS coils is available within the mode system as well.

Dual Magnetic Side Panels

Both side panels of the Centaurus M200 remove with fingernail pressure at the base and snap back into place using the original magnet system. No tools are needed and no screws are involved. The panels are what define the colour variant: the core aluminium frame is the same across all colour options. Lost Vape makes genuine replacement Centaurus M200 panels available separately, and these are available at Vapeology. Panels designed for the M200 do not fit the N200 or other Centaurus models, so if ordering replacements, confirm you are purchasing M200-specific panels. The panels on limited edition variants (Dying Light, Splatoon) feature more elaborate artwork and engravings than the core colour range.

510 Connection and Atomiser Compatibility

The threaded 510 connection accepts atomisers up to 26mm in diameter without overhang. The 510 plate is spring-loaded with a gold-plated centre pin and sits slightly raised above the top face of the mod, which helps protect the base of your tank from contact marks. Sub-ohm tanks, RTAs, RDAs, and RDTAs all pair with the M200 via 510. The mod’s wide voltage range (0.7-10V) makes it suited to both low-resistance DTL builds and higher-resistance MTL coils. The Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank and UB Max coils are the native pairing for the M200 kit, but the standalone mod works with any 510 tank on the market.
