Description
SMOK TFV9 Coils
The SMOK TFV9 Replacement Coils are the V9 Mesh coils for the TFV9 sub-ohm tank and a wide range of compatible SMOK kits including the Rigel and Scar series. There is one variant: the 0.15ohm V9 Mesh, rated 40-90W with a recommended range of 70-80W. Each pack contains five coils. These are sub-ohm coils for DTL (direct-to-lung) vaping only, and require a device capable of delivering adequate power.
If you have searched for SMOK V9 coils, SMOK TFV9 coils, or TFV9 coils, this is the correct product. One note on compatibility: if you have a SMOK Stick V9, that device uses the TFV8 Baby coil platform rather than the TFV9 coil, so these are not the right coils for the Stick V9.

Mesh Design and Performance
The V9 Mesh coil uses a honeycomb mesh strip rather than a traditional round wire coil. The mesh format gives a larger surface area in contact with the cotton and e-liquid, which means faster and more even heating across the full width of the coil. In practice this produces better flavour consistency from the first draw compared to older wire-based coils, and denser vapour at equivalent wattages. The Kanthal mesh heats quickly and cools quickly between draws, which helps prevent the cotton from overheating during back-to-back puffs at higher wattages.
Installation and Priming
TFV9 coils install by threading into the base of the tank. Remove the old coil by unscrewing it anti-clockwise from the bottom, then thread the new coil in clockwise until it seats firmly. Before filling and firing, prime the coil: drip two or three drops of e-liquid directly onto the visible cotton inside the coil head, then fill the tank and leave it to stand for five minutes before your first draw. Starting at a lower wattage (around 40-50W) and working upward over the first few puffs will help the cotton fully saturate and prevent dry hits. Skipping the priming step is the most common cause of a burnt taste from a new coil.
Device Compatibility
The TFV9 coil platform covers a broad range of SMOK hardware, including kits that shipped with the TFV9 tank and kits from the older TFV8 Baby family. If you have searched for SMOK Rigel coils, these are the correct product: the Rigel and Rigel Mini both use the TFV9 tank and run on this coil.
